Richard White, CMS

"We did have an existing relationship with On3 and I must say that they are fantastic to deal with. Their track record on servicing and hire is excellent. I feel privileged to be able to deal with them. I hope they feel the same.”

Marc Hodges, Tudor Rose International

“We've got half a dozen different areas that rely on us to get things right in the warehouse. That means we want a company that we can trust to sort out our requirements promptly and efficiently.”

Stuart Thompson, Q Medical

“We are delighted with the results. The site runs smoothly, we were well informed and looked after throughout the construction stages, and the business continues to grow well as a result.”

John Verdon, Avon Metals

"I could not find anything to compete with the inherent build quality of the Daewoo range and that was before we talked prices! Our operators love these trucks and converting manual tasks to forklift operations has made their lives a whole lot easier"

Say Goodbye To Your Old Supplier & Hello To On3!

Just slip out the back, Jack! If only it was that simple.

Saying goodbye to your unreliable, old-fashioned, expensive materials handling supplier can prove to be a bit of a problem.

In fact, three quarters of the companies moving to On3 experience more than just the odd skeleton in the closet when they look at terminating their contracts.

To avoid any nasty surprises when kicking out the old guard, make sure you’ve checked out our 5 point “leaving your lovers’ guide”...

It may sound obvious, but when you’re about to terminate your existing arrangement with your forklift supplier, the most important thing you can do is understand exactly what it is you’re terminating!

1. Know Your Contract End Date
“Confirm your contract end date,” says On3’s rental manager, Paul Tucker.

“”Check if there is a notice period - a minimum period contract - or whether this is a fixed term contract.

You may find, for example, that your contract period is 60 months, plus the notice period.”

2. What Are Your Excess Hours?
Your existing contract is likely to specify the maximum amount of hours your equipment can work over the period of the contract.

If you exceed those hours you may get a nasty surprise. “We know one user that was charged £6,000 for the excess hours on two reach trucks - each!” says Paul.

Unscrupulous Forklift Companies

Consolidated Fork Truck Services, a joint venture between BITA and FLTA has accused some "unscrupulous" dealers of failing to provide a Report of Thorough Examination certificate arguing that the annual exam is an important legal requirement that helps confirm when equipment is safe to use.

The CFTS said that there were some companies operating trucks without an up-to-date certificate and were unwittingly risking their employees' safety. Steve Hodkinson, chairman of CFTS said: "This unacceptable situation is the direct result of a lack of understanding of thorough examination in the industry as a whole."

Small Is Best

It's official: Employees of small businesses have more fun than those in large firms. The Government's latest survey of workplace employment relations confirms that you get more belly laughs in a firm that employs fewer than 10 people. Typical, we're up to 12!
